Joomla! 1.5 reached stable status. With lots of new functions available, this new version promises to give a new perspective of CMS. For those that don’t know, Joomla! is an open source solution that is freely available to everybody. You can build websites and other powerful online applications with simple actions.

Joomla! 1.5 is Stable!

Joomla! let’s you manage and update the content in front-end and in back-end, and uses WYSIWYG editors, in order to simplify the work to everyone. In other words, Joomla! is a free tool to developers as also to anyone that don’t have any programming knowledge. At the time of choosing a hosting provider, Joomla! is important to. Cause as it’s based on php scripts, you will not need to spend big ammount to buy a hosting plan on a windows server. Linux it’s more than enough.

    Personally, I’m using WebAPP, a multilingual, open source CMS Perl portal on several websites and it’s great.
    It takes 3 minutes to install (including the uploading time!), its safer, faster and has nearly infinite amount of features and resources. An most important its written in REAL Perl (CGI).

  4. I used Joomla last time for our WoW Guild Homepage. We had some good time with the modifications. :P
